Kruger National Park (KNP), South Africa, 2025
One of my favorite places on earth and one every nature/wildlife/bird lover should visit at least once! The focus was on identifying more of the local species, but I managed a few decent photos with my Nikon P950. This is my go-to camera for bird identification - small and light enough for travel, but with very good auto-focus and super zoom capability. I shot exclusively in JPEG and in retrospect should’ve set it to RAW + JPEG. We visited in September/October, which is at the end of the dry season, but just shy of the rain season, so the migrants haven’t shown up from Europe yet.
